- Designed with grooved pins which are designed hold the camshaft pulley
stationary while loosening and tightening the center shaft bolt .
- While useful on most Asian overhead cam engines , it's most needed on transverse
mounted V6 engines such as the VG30 used in Nissan maxima , as well as , the 3VZFE
and 1MZFE engines used in TOYOTA CAMRYS .
- The rear pulleys on these models are in very close proximity to the shock tower making removal and replacement difficult without this locking device.
