The UNI-T UT07A-UK is a plug-in socket tester for UK-type 230V outlets. Plug it in and three indicator lights show at a glance whether the socket is wired correctly or has a common wiring fault, and a built-in button checks that the RCD trips.

How to Use
Wiring check: plug the tester into the 230V socket under test, check the three lights, and match the pattern with the legend on the tester to see whether the wiring is correct or which fault is present.
RCD test: with the tester plugged in, briefly press the RCD test button. If the RCD does not trip, the RCD may be faulty or may not protect that socket.
Note: this tester cannot detect earth/neutral reversal. Do not leave the tester plugged into a socket for more than 2 hours. Any wiring repairs should be carried out by a licensed electrical contractor.
