Incorporating the internal double-insulation construction with a plastic stator holder and an aluminium die-cast body which firmly holds the armature shaft, the durability of the motor and the tool body has remarkably improved.

Carbon brush rotation system extends carbon brush lifetime

• The position of carbon brushes on a brush holder is shifted according to the rotation direction. This reduces commutation sparks that cause brushes to wear out, resulting in approximately twice the lifetime of carbon brushes compared to the previous model DV20VB2.

  
  

Powerful motor provides improved overload durability

Overload durability: Comparisons of the torques when the motors burn out, based on the durability index of the previous model taken as 100. (The values are for reference purposes. They vary according to conditions.)

Slip clutch *

causes the gears between the motor and drill bit to slip when an excessive load is suddenly applied, resulting in less reaction force.
