Kennedy® Cold Chisels
Kennedy® cold chisels are manufactured from high quality, high strength octagonal section chrome vanadium steel with ground cutting edges. They are are used to channel brickwork, concrete, chip stone and to remove waste metal when a very smooth finish is not required or when the work cannot be done easily with other tools, such as a hacksaw, file, bench shears or power tools. The head of each chisel is chamfered to slow down the formation of the mushroom shape caused by hammering. Conform to: BS3066.
Used by the engineering and building trades for cutting and chipping cold metals, brick work and stone. The angle of the cut edge should be 60 - 70°, inclusive, but is dependant on the material to be cut. When cutting metal, the softer the material is, the more acute the cutting angle should be.
