Product Overview

The SATA12941–12942 3/8" Dr. VDE Insulated Extension Bar extends your reach on live electrical work without giving up insulation protection. Each bar is made from heat-treated chrome vanadium (Cr-V) steel, fully insulated, and individually tested by German VDE to withstand 10,000V per IEC/EN 60900 — well above its 1000V AC service rating. A chrome-plated finish beneath the insulation resists rust. Two lengths, 125mm and 250mm, cover both shallow recesses and deeper enclosure reach.

Important: VDE-insulated tools are safety-critical, PPE-adjacent equipment. Inspect the insulation for cracks, nicks, or wear before every use, never use a tool with damaged insulation, and pair only with VDE-insulated sockets and handles when working live. Insulation rating and certification apply to the tool as supplied — do not modify, grind, or re-plate.

Warranty Terms

Lifetime Warranty. Both SKUs (SATA12941 and SATA12942) explicitly list Lifetime Warranty on their individual product pages, so the fallback exclusion clause wasn't needed. These SATA extension bars are covered against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used as intended. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, use with non-insulated or power/impact tools, cuts or abrasion to the insulating jacket, normal wear, or cosmetic wear.
