Product Overview

The SATA12983 is a 1/2" (12.5mm) square-drive VDE insulated reversible ratchet built for electrical and high-voltage maintenance work. It is certified by VDE and tested to 10,000V, and it meets the IEC/EN 60900 standard for insulated hand tools. You can turn it and change direction with one hand, and the quick-release lets you eject a socket with the same hand. The body is Cr-V steel that has been heat treated for strength and durability. At 250mm, it gives extra reach and leverage for larger fasteners in electrical and workshop settings.

It does not cover misuse, overloading beyond rated torque, impact damage, damage to the insulation from cuts or abuse, or normal cosmetic wear.
