The Fluke 971 Temperature Humidity Meter is a compact handheld digital hygrometer and thermometer that gives you fast, accurate readings of air temperature and relative humidity in one instrument. Alongside ambient temperature and % RH it calculates dew point and wet bulb temperatures at the press of a button, so HVAC technicians, facility managers and indoor air quality (IAQ) specialists can check comfort conditions, verify air-conditioning performance and spot condensation and mould risk without carrying extra probes or charts.

Using the Fluke 971
- Let it settle – when moving between very different conditions (e.g. from a cold room to a hot plant room), give the meter time to stabilise before taking a reading.
- Saving and recalling – press Save to store the present readings; press Recall and use the ▲ / ▼ arrows to step through memory locations. Hold Recall for two seconds to return to normal operation.
- Clearing memory – press and hold Save and Recall together for five seconds to erase all 99 locations.
- Min / Max / Avg – choose ambient, dew point or wet bulb first, then press Min/Max to step through the stored minimum, maximum and average. Hold the button for two seconds to exit. While recording, the °C/°F switch, Save, Recall, Hold and auto power-off are disabled.
- Settings switches – the °C/°F switch and the auto power-off switch are inside the battery compartment; the battery door is held by a single screw.
- Care – wipe the case with a damp cloth and mild detergent or Fluke meter cleaner. Do not use abrasives or solvents.
